Lebalelo Water User Association was established in terms of Section 92(1) of the National Water Act to provide bulk raw water from the Olifants River to its members on the Eastern Limb of the Bushveld Igneous Complex. The Association further works in collaboration with and supports the Department of Water and Sanitation as well as the Sekhukhune District Municipality in the operation and maintenance of their potable water schemes within the Association’s area of operations. Location: Pretoria / Polokwane / Havercroft
The position is based at the Association’s Pretoria, Polokwane and Havercroft / Olifants River bulk water supply scheme and associated reticulation network. However, the incumbents will also be required to report at the Association’s project offices at No. 4 Daventry Road, Lynnwood Bridge Office Park, Lynnwood Manor, Pretoria as required by the business of the Association.
JOB OBJECTIVES
The key objective of this role is to manage project implementation by planning, expediting, monitoring, and controlling activities per design, specifications, and project plans. Ensure timely, cost-effective delivery while upholding quality and strategic alignment. Oversee scope, team, resources, and budget, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and construction methodologies.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Managing feasibility studies and develop appropriate technical and financial models with external service providers;
- Project Management which includes Project planning, governance, cost estimation, cost management, forecasting procurement and contract management;
- Project Systems implementation which includes development and implementation of systems to support project planning, management support, development of standards, specifications, and processes to support projects; and
- Responsible for Governance, risk and compliance and Project team Management
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and registration as a Professional Project Manager (Essential);
- A postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Engineering Management would be an advantage; and
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management of which 3 years need to be in a management role.
