LEBALELO WATER USER ASSOCIATION Established in terms of Section 92(1) of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No 36. of 1998) Government Gazette No 89/23053

Employer Details: The Association is a Water User Association established in terms of Section 92(1) of the National Water Act to provide bulk raw water from the Olifants River to its members on the Eastern Limb of the Bushveld Igneous Complex. The Association further works in collaboration with and supports the Department of Water and Sanitation as well as the Sekhukhune District Municipality in the operation and maintenance of their potable water schemes within the Association’s area of operations. Areas: The position is based at the Association’s Polokwane Office/Havercroft – Olifants River bulk water supply scheme and associated reticulation network. However, the incumbents will also be required to report at the Association’s Pretoria offices at No. 4 Daventry Road, Lynnwood Bridge in Lynnwood Manor, Pretoria as required by the business of the Association

Minimum Qualifications

  • Grade 12 OR equivalent combination of education and job-related experience
  • Valid Driver’s Licence

Minimum Expérience

  • Operative training and certification; Relevant safety training;
  • Machine operative training and certification

 

General Responsibilities:

  • To support and assists the Artisan in maintenance of Lebalelo Water User Association’s (LWUA) equipment to ensure availability thereof for the execution of tasks assigned to the Artisan
  • To assists the Artisan by preparing for the job at hand that includes but not limited to assembling the necessary tools and perform preparatory tasks as instructed
  • To operate mobile machinery such as but no limited to cranes, welding machines, mobile pumps and generators
  • To Comply with safety requirements as required by law and company procedures
